August 2011
Dear Mission Friends and Supporters,
I apologize for not writing sooner but I was waiting for a few things to come together so I could be all-inclusive in one letter.
Our mission team partner in the Krichev Belarus church, Aldersgate UMC in Mechanicsburg, Pa., has agreed with me that we should save our dollars for this year and to travel and meet together in Krichev in Feb. 2012 where our new Mission House should be completed and dedicated.
Bishop Hans Vaxby of the Eurasia UMC Conference plans to meet with us there for this dedication and laying plans to begin more new churches in Belarus.
This will be good reason for me to return to my original site of church development in Krichev and to the children and families of the Chernobyl region nearby. We have received requests from Chernobyl families and families in America who host many Chernobyl children in the summer months. They ask us to begin new churches in Belarus for these children and their families. Our American host families are very good about introducing these children to church and often ask about where they can find a church in Belarus when they return home.
All this church expansion that Bishop Vaxby is asking us to do will require much more investment than in the past where we could build a church for $8 - $12,000. It will now be double that due to inflation over the past 6 years. I simply ask you to join me in prayer for this new opportunity and development as I am a sole missioner with no large organization behind me. Remember, religious law in Belarus requires us to build and register all of our churches before we can do any mission work.
Additionally, all churches continue to do well and to draw more into the fold.
The summer tent camps are now in full swing and I am anxiously awaiting the usual good reports that more and more of our Belarus children and youth are coming to Christ and influencing their families to do the same.
Another very good project for one of your churches or Sunday Schools that might have had a desire to begin their own mission support would be to help our Pastor Reuben Rai in Nepal to build an orphanage and home for lost children and widows with no place to call home. (James 1:27)
This is a very worthy mission project also and you can read Pastor Reuben's May-June report on our website. Look for the link on the right side of the home page and at the end of the article is a place where you can click on "June 2011" to see many photos of his recent evangelistic trip into the mountainous region of Nepal. I will
be able to supply photos and regular reports as we progress with this very needy project.
Let us all pray together that with God's help we can accomplish these projects for His glory by bringing the lost to Christ.
Your tax-deductible contributions can be sent to my church treasurer and made payable to:

My thanks to you for your faithfulness in this mission effort. January 2012 will be our 17th year together. Just look what God has accomplished through our efforts as humble servants working together. That is the awesome God we know and serve.
Your Missioner,
Perry
